Borussia Dortmund have set a new record for the most goals scored in a Bundesliga game this season as they beat 1. FC Köln 7-2 at home.

The victory was all the more impressive given that it came just two days after Dortmund had lost to RB Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal semi-final.

In what was a thrilling display, Dortmund took the lead through a goal from Adebayor before Malen doubled their lead with a stunning strike.

Brandt then added another to put them 4-0 up at half-time, while Jadon Sancho also found the back of the net in the second half.

Köln were unable to find any way back into the game and eventually conceded four more goals in the final ten minutes to seal the win.

It is the latest in a string of impressive performances from Dortmund this season, who have already won the league title and are currently on course to win the Champions League.

Their recent form has been nothing short of sensational, with goals from players such as Adebayor, Malen, Brandt and Sancho all contributing to their success.
